It's a wonderful story, that really has lines on a couple different levels. I received a copy of this book years ago and loved it. On one, you see the importance of family, and priorities. I bought this one to give as a Christmas gift to my boss. She loved it as well, and has already passed it on for other friends to read. On another, the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ, is given. I definitely recommend this book - for yourself, and as a gift.
As a parent, you can't help being busy and not taking enough time to watch our children grow. The Christmas Box is one of the most beautiful stories I have had the pleasure to read. It is about taking the time to smell the roses. This book makes you rethink your priorities. It is written which such depth and simplicity that it is quite a joy to read not only throughout the holidays, but a story worth remembering year round.
The Angel in this group is based on the Angel in Christmas Box book.It is a very touching story of family and strangers and what is really important in life. This book was given to me by Angel of Hope in my local area. Angel of Hope is a group that supports grieving parents in the loss of a child. It is a short read and while not a great book, is a heart-felt story. It does reflect Mormon religious beliefs, but does not try to evangelize.
I was very impressed with how fast my order arrived. I live in Minnesota and the package was shipped from Florida. My package arrived in 5 shipping days via the U.S. Mail.
There is just enough of a supernatural element to create an air of mystery and expectation. His story line moves along briskly.
It is an especially good book to accompany the Christmas holiday and could be enjoyed by the entire family. This is a thoughtful and sensitive short story that highlights the most valuable gifts in our lives.
Evans writes with simplicity for a wide audience. At any time, however, it is a wonderful reminder to invest time in the special people in our lives and to keep a grateful heart.
Mr. With a few words he creates excellent images and characters.
A book like this should not be stored on a shelf but either read each December or passed along to new readers.
